A lifetime mortgage is when you borrow money secured against your home, it is a type of Equity Release. The loan is secured and only needs to be paid back once you pass away or move into long term care, provided it’s your main residence you will retaining ownership.

This is for people over the age of 55 as there is no monthly payments to meet using the tax-free money as you wish.
